Red like love, as a symbol of passion and tolerance towards those affected.
-
Red like blood, representing the pain caused by the many people that died of AIDS.
-
Red like the anger about the helplessness by which we are facing a disease for which there is still no chance for a cure.

Red as a sign of warning not to carelessly ignore one of the biggest problems of our time.

There is a way we can all help to bring a smile on the faces of the millions of suffering people around the world. And that is why the Woyome Foundation for Africa (WOFA) has together with other partners launched a campaign to raise funds to support the provision of anti-retroviral drugs, boosters and nutritional support for the tens of thousands of HIV infected children in Ghana

An official of WOFA presenting a cheque to Ridge Hospital,Accra Ghana to Support 22 infected Children.
With the right support and encouragement, these children will be saved from emotional neglect and helped to discover, develop and deplore their potential. It costs only GH˘60 to provide anti-retroviral drugs for an infected child for a whole year, in addition to GH˘40 for nutritional supplements & support. We can together therefore help keep these children alive.
The WOFA initiated One-for-One Campaign is intended to bring public attention to the issue of child infections, educate the public on preventing child infections and also raising funds to support the children. Join us today by donating to the WOFA One-for-One Campaign.Your Donations make a difference.

School Outreach Program
To broaden the scope of outreach to Basic, Junior High and High schools within the country, a debut program has been drawn to concentrate on selected schools within the Accra Metropolis. This has become necessary due to the ala

rming youth prevalence of 30% of the current national rate. The need is urgent because of available statistics that indicate that for one child on Antiretroviral Therapy, six were infected and if critical measures are not taken, there will be a probable increase of 20% or more by 2015.

Coming from South Africa where HIV/AIDS infection rates are very high, and with a passion to helping in behavioural change among Africans to reduce infection rates, Hugh leads the Foundation’s efforts to use music as a careful mix in its campaigns
The South African-born internationally acclaimed trumpeter and flugelhornist started singing
and playing piano as a child. At age 14, after seeing the film, YOUNG MAN WITH A HORN, where Kirk Douglas portrays American Jazz trumpeter, Bix Beiderbecke, he took up trumpet, given to the young Hugh by Archbishop Trevor Huddleston, the anti-apartheid chaplain at St. Peters Secondary School. Masekela continues to maintain a very active tour schedule, spreading his musical message of peace, harmony and unity throughout the world. He can also be heard adding his distinctive voice and flugelhorn to many other world artists' recordings - from some of Bob Marley's earliest recordings to Buena Vista Social Club bassist Cachaito Lopez's 2001 solo record.
